Envy

This is a promotional piece based on a New York Times article entitled "Envy May Bear Fruit, but It Also Has an Aftertaste," written by John Tierney. The original illustration was completed by Viktor Koen, who was a teacher of mine when I was in Residence at the School of Visual Arts.

Recently my girlfriend and I went out to dinner at Shanghai Jazz in Madison NJ. The food was great and the music even better! This illustration is based on the performance that night by Winard Harper. He played a wonderful show.

"Going Green but Getting Nowhere" By Gernot Wagner

This is an illustration I did based on a NY Times article entitled "Going Green but Getting Nowhere" By Gernot Wagner. It was a very enjoyable personal project and I always love drawing bicycles! Also check out the actual illustration that was published with the article by Leif Parsons it is incredibly clever not to mention well done!

Dollar Coffee

One of my best friends Dan, aka (Albert Rhymestein) and his "crew" mate Dave aka (BS) are dropping their first album on August 8th. Together, they are Dollar Coffee and their new album, is entitled "Nice Things." I've done some artwork for them and thought this would be a great oppournity to show what I've done, and mainly give them a huge shout out! They are incredibly talented and I cannot wait to hear the new album!

Body Bags and Party Hats

I just did an album cover for a talented hip hop artist who goes by the name, "Dru The Monster." He is very soon to release his new mix tape, "Body Bags and Party Hats." Check him out! http://www.reverbnation.com/DRUTHEMONSTER I hope you enjoy the album art.

Drill Press

I've been experimenting today, using Indian Ink and Photoshop. I call it, "The Drill Press," as it is a drill press. My studio resides next to my fathers wood shop and I draw much inspiration from the power tools juxtaposed to my drafting table.

Red Hook Brooklyn

This started as a drawing on location during a trip to Red Hook Brooklyn. I fell in love with this old abandoned trolly or train that resides behind the Fairway Grocery Store.

New works

Over the past few months I've been focusing on developing my work. I participated in an intensive illustration residency at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. It was a fantastic experience and I met some wonderful new friends/artists from all corners of the world.

The Middle East

I've been working on a new illustration dealing with the rebellions in the Middle East. It is still in work in progress but I thought that I would share my process as I make progress toward completion. So here are my initial sketch ideas and the beginning stages of the final artwork.
